What fabric to make a wizard cloak/cape?
I'm making a Death Eater costume for next week. I want to follow this tutorial:http://diyfashion.about.com/od/costumes/ss/Make_a_...
The problem is...What kind of fabric should I get?? When I go to the textile shop, what should I say the salesgirl in terms of fabric name?
Thanks.

Tell her you want to make a rectangular cloak; ask her to show you something that would be suitable-- many, many fabrics are suitable for cloak making, but especially if you're making a rectangular cloak, you want something with good drape, like a woolen or worsted.
If you're looking for a cloak with better drape, consider:
