is it normal to feel like this?

I'm 18 and I started college a couple of months ago. I've never been in a relationship. I'll admit that I'm a bit of a loner, and I'm mostly okay with that. I'm an only child, so I'm used to being on the lonely side. I've never really considered trying getting in a relationship either.

Right now, I'm a little bit annoyed. Part of me is okay with being single, but another part of me isn't, and I'm not really all that sure what to do. Any tips? Thanks.

It's normal to feel this way because according to television and movies most guys in college are supposed to have a girlfriend who they may or may not be serious with.

I've felt this way many times throughout my life and I've always taken it as a challenge to meet someone and start a relationship and see how it goes. If it doesn't go well then I step aside for a while and figure out what matters more to me: getting things in my own life accomplished or having a relationship.

Figure out what matters more to you and then pursue that. Don't feel bad if getting through school, starting a job, doing an internship rank higher on the list of priorities than a relationship does. I wouldn't want to enter into another a relationship until I'm 100% sure that I know who I am, what I want and where I'm going.
