Dog Extra Toe - Not Dew Claw?

So I saw a picture of a dog with an extra toe on his back foot, but it wasn't a dew claw. Is there a name for this? Is it bad? I know it sometimes happens to catsand isn't a problem, but I was jyust curious.

It's technically called hind-limb-specific preaxial polydactyly. But more oftenly called a double dewclaw. It does occurs in some dogs. In some breeds it's common. All Great Pyrenees dogs have them.

It's not really a problem unless the toes aren't tight to the leg and are floppy and loose. In that case the extra toes can be caught on things and tear causing alot of pain for the dog. Some vets will remove the toes preemptively to prevent injury later on.
