where can I get fumigation/smoke bombs?

Years ago my family used to have a vinery(long greenhouses 100 foot long x 30ft wide) On certain occasions we would fumigate them when pests became too much with smoke bombs. We would tie them up to the wires and starting from one end light them as we came back down the greenhouse. As they burned a thick vapour of insecticide poured out and killed all the pests. They do not seem to be about any more-can anybody tell me where I can get some. They are for fumigating a house in the tropics which has been empty for a year. It will be full of every imaginable type of nasty and I don't want to get stung again. Last year it was a Caterpillar with toxic hairs. Anybody know where I can get some please?

Update:

Thank you Susan B and Howdoile. I read up on the sulphur candles-they produce sulphur dioxide in damp air turning into sulphuric acid. Lasy year on the first night in my cottage I woke up in the night with something crawling on me. Turned out it was one of the large hairy catterpillers which fire nerve toxins into you from the hairs. The house becomes a wonderful wild life refuse. Rats of every variety burrough into my mattresses and nest in the refrigerator, snakes crawl up the waste pipe, termites fill the electric conduits with their tunnels-so I have had enough. I am going to war with them this year. Thanks for the info. I'll try B&Q but it was the horticulturasl ones that I used to use that I was after-they killed like it said on the tin 99.9% of all critters. The ghekos had better scarper too!

b&q had them last year, not sure if they have them in this year.

green gardener website have both sulphur and garlic candles - do the same job but more environmentally friendly.

Actually - having just read the whole of the question - it's the sulphur you want, as tropical bugs can be a whole lot more dangerous than a few greenfly.

Look up sulphur candle and sulphur bomb - you can get them on amazon

Any garden centre, B&Q, iron-mongers, should stock them. Sulphur candles are very good, but READ & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Don't kill yourself with it.

Then, when it's all clear, go in with a vacuum-cleaner and slurp all the insects up!
