has anybody ever taken anything back to a £ shop?

I was queueing up in the pound shop with my weekly supply of crisps and choccies and there was a polish lady arguing with the cashier about a toy gun she bought the day before and was now broken. Me personally , i couldnt be bothered(well it was just a quid!) so my question is do you think as british people just dont stand up for themselves enough as this polish lady did?

A friend of mine did it when he bought a grabber to retrieve his keys from a drain he dropped them in. Bought it, used it, returned it. I was shocked that he bothered, that they let him and at the balls it took to do something like that when he had clearly got his moneys worth.

Yes. We don't get paid all that well at the circus, and we Poles work very hard for our £.
