Why can't I shop online? It says 'incorrect card number' everywhere?
I'm trying to buy some books online. I've got a Maestro card issued in Lithuania, I'm also 100% sure I've got enough money on it. I live in UK at the moment and I'm trying to buy books on amazon.co.uk or bookdepository.co.uk, but both of them are refusing my card number (the 16 digit number on the front of the card). I don't understand why, I'm also completely sure I'm putting the number without any mistakes. Is it because my card has been issued in Lithuania?

It has nothing to do with being issued in Lithuania and everything to do with being a Maesto card. The sites in question don't accept Maestro cards. Visa and MasterCard or the only cards accepted in most countries.

I might be wrong but i think you'll need a visa in order to do this within uk domains (becuase its not from the uk). It should be possible on paypal though, if lithuania uses paypal (I don't know)
