Z-Line commercials are LOUD!?

I thought there was some new law that say's they can't do that.

Or is it just my local carrier?

Nope its not your carrier & its not just Z-Line...

There is a law: The CALM (Commercial Advertising Loudness Mitigation) Act passed the house in 2009 and dictates the relative volume level of ads compared to the programming. Assuming the Act passes the Senate as well, advertisers will have one year to adopt industry technology that'll level out the volume of the ad. The FCC would be in charge of enforcing this mandate.

I've never heard another word about it since and apparently neither has the FCC. I tried searches and NOTHING is found...

I've noticed that too. There was a lot of talk about a law preventing commercials from being excessively loud, but I don't guess it went through for all places, if any. That was actually a hot topic on the big news channels not long ago (CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc.)
