Re: Lou Reed, Can anyone identify the movie he was in and what he sang?
A few years ago I caught briefly a film in which I believe Lou Reed sang a song accompanying himself on an acoustic guitar. It was a rather folky style and it was particularly good. But, I have no idea what movie it was or what song. Is there a big Lou Reed expert out there that might be able to tell me what flick I need to find and maybe even the name of the song he sang? Thanks!
Those are both good tries, but not the one I remember. I am beginning to think that maybe it wasn't Lou. But at the time I sure thought it was him...grrr I should have immediately found out the title of the movie when I saw it at the time.
I wonder, could it have been someone else? Or is there some even more obscure movie or program he appeared in and sang? It was definitely an acoustic guitar, not electric which he used in the appearance I saw and I think he was sitting down while singing.
He was wearing I believe a pretty un-Lou tan denim jacket or perhaps a regular indigo denim jacket. Like the song in "Get Crazy" he was singing to a young woman.
It was not a concert setting but instead as if he just sat down in a house or on a bench in a park across from her and started singing the song.

It might have been the movie "Get Crazy" (1983). The song he sang at the end was "Little Sister".
