Copyright permissions to use music as part of an art show?

Would I be violating any copyright laws to play certain music to paintings at an art show?

Would I need the artist's permission (some of them are impossible, but some maybe still small enough to work with me)?

And advertising the types of music that will be played... is that out of the question?

Not copyright at all, if some random youtuber can illegally download a song, post it on the internet and get millions of hits with the worst possible punishment being the video taken off.. Then you know you're safe ;)

I WOULD NOT THINK SO WITH ME BEING A SONG WRITER AND A SINGER NOPE I DO NOT THINK SO

BUT IF IT HAD COPYRIGHT ON THERE THEN YEAH THAT WOULD BE JUST WRONG
