Carpal Tunnel surgery and recovery question?

Anyone with carpal tunnel surgery, please tell me how the recovery went for you. How long did it take to regain full use, and did you regain full use.

I am a musician, and am wondering whether or not to have this done. Something has to happen, my hand cramps and closes on me.

When you hold your hands/fingers in one position for an extended period of time it causes the tendons to tire out and shorten up. They can be freed back up to get them to operate freely again instead of surgery. For your wrists you can try this to free them back up:

    Wrist:

With hand resting in front of you with the palm up, bend your wrist as far as you can.. Then press into the area behind the wrist, where they take your pulse, and hold a good amount of pressure on it. After 30 seconds slowly open your wrist up as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your wrist open for another 30 seconds.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
