How old should a child be to read "Halo" video game books?

I have a 9 yr old. I think he is too young for these books. How can I find out the age restrictions?

I have read Halo: The Flood and I gave up on Halo: Ghosts of Onyx and I found that there is no foul language in either, I mean there are words like crap, damn etc. But really I don't see any problem with letting a nine year old read them apart from he might not be able to comprehend the essence of the story as the language is complex.

Having read the books (all but one) I'll go down a list of factors I think you might want to know of.

-Halo: Fall of Reach - child-abuse (basically, it's spartan training and it's abducting 6 year olds to go into heavy-combat training you'd expect of a modern day Black Ops soldier to go into) also mentions of nudity (a female professor coming out of cryo-sleep)

-Halo: The Flood - graphic violence pertaining to the flood parasite, really goes into depth on how they take over humans and other species. Basically the host's are still alive but wish they were dead.

-Halo: First Strike - Not much really, this is likely (from what I remember) a perfectly clean book

-Halo: Ghosts of Onyx - Same as Fall of Reach except without the mentions of nudity

-Halo: Contact Harvest - Sex Scene at the end, and a mention of Sergeant Johnson at a strip club early in the book. Best avoided

-Halo: Evolutions - Just avoid this one, it's a bundle of short stories which can be very graphic a little too often. Also mentions of Lesbian marines in one story (if you worry about that)

I know nothing of Halo: The Cole Protocol though, I heard it sucked from other fans so I strayed away

Do with this as you wish

Source(s): Personal experience, the books are amazing reads but have their share of content a 9 year old probably shouldn't be reading

When you yourself have a problem to supporting your youngster that's difficulty studying, no matter what age she\he this program is things you need, Children Learning Reading from here https://tr.im/tcmyU .

Children Learning Reading is different from other programs because it doesn't rely on teaching words by sight, a method that depends on young ones recognizing and memorizing phrases by their material and structure. You could have observed (or actually ordered!) programs that promote whole term acceptance understanding, these programs often require you to stay your son or daughter before a tv or computer monitor for a substantial period of time in order in order for them to understand phrases that may allow them to begin their studying journey.

With Children Learning Reading your child will only need to invest 5\15 minutes at time and he\she may learn how to build the phrase creating the whole means of learning how to learn a lot more effectively.

Truly, there is no comparison absolutely....simply because watching television relies on the gunky creativeness of a Tv set entertainer who's main concerns are budget, popularity and ratings and Hell with theme integrity, or, for that matter, anything creative truly.

the games i are rated M for mature (which is 17+), which i am sure you are aware of, but if your child is reading i would say have at. there not bad, and have a good story to them mostly a scifi story of how the "spartans2" came to be.

Hmm.. why don't you read them first and see what you think of them?

I would have said 11 or 12.. But they probably are'nt that bad.
