I have to disagree with you there. I remember when the Jets were playing the Patriots. The Jets had one really good defender that played him most of the game in single coverage and the guy owned Randy Moss the entire game. Randy didn't get one single big play because the guy guarded him so good.

And Moss definitely isn't the best WR in NFL history. He might have had the most talent ability, but Rice did a lot more with his talent than Moss ever did. The distinction of best goes to the one and only Jerry Rice. Nobody has set as many records as Rice, nor set records nearly as high as Rice. Rice is in a category all by himself. While Randy Moss is one of the best if you look at his stats and records they nowhere nearly compare to Rice's, nobody has records that compare to Rice. He owns the record for almost every category and has the records set so high that they will be hard to ever be beaten, although I'm sure the move to an 18 game schedule will help.

Moss would be so much better if he gave 100% each game. You see it in the Patriot game footage and the Vikings game footage. If Moss isn't happy, he'll on purpose come up short. He'll be going at a speed to easily catch the ball. Then as he gets close to it, he'll slow up lower his arms and let it pass right over his head. I think Childress saw that in the game footage and it got him so upset that he fired Moss after just a game or two, especially with Moss pandering to Belichick after Belichick let him go for the same thing.

He's a guy with a ton of talent who for most of his career just wasted his talent. I'd much rather have a guy like Wes Welker that gives 110% each game. And BTW, Welker gets more yards after the reception than any other receiver in the NFL.

i presumed Randy Moss went decrease back to college? isn't he with the Raiders? Oh yeah, I forgot the Raiders are nonetheless considered an NFL team. there is actual no way you could say that Randy Moss is the best participant interior the NFL if he's no longer even the best at his place. top now, Steve Smith and Torry Holt are arms down the two best huge receivers interior the interest. Moss is extremely over rated, takes to many performs off and is a maximum cancers interior the locker room.

First of all, you don't really "guard" a receiver. You cover him.

Second of all, have you seen Moss playing this year? Opponents are covering him just fine.

I think you are right that Moss is the most talented receiver in NFL history (Jerry Rice was more disciplined, and had a better career, but Moss arguably has more talent). But he is well past his prime, and plenty of corners can cover him now.

Randy Moss is hard to block because he's on the bench for the majority of games and only plays when he wants to. AND for your information, Roddy White is the most talented WR in NFL histroy.

First off to the guy above me the Jets Cb that did the best job at covering moss was Antonio Cromartie even though he isn't considered to be the jet's best cornerback second to revis he matched up well with moss because he is experienced and is tall with long arms similar to moss himself. In truth though Moss is garbage this year at least. My theory to why he may seem good is because he doesn't go 100% on every play and catches the cornerback off guard, the guy is a D-Bag.

Randy Moss ..... give me a break , he doesn't give 100% he's the most talented and most expensive DECOY wide receiver in the NFL

  • 1 decade ago

This is a foolish question, have u not seen that the jets put one person on him and he is basically completely covered, last game they used antonio cromartie and guess wat he was absoutely covered up, in last years games Darrelle Revis killed him basically he (as for many of there WR) only got like 35 yards while being covered by Revis so this question is already wrong from the start

ok first off jerry rice is the mst talented wr in history and second off everyone has been able to bolck him this year so im not 2 sure what ur watching

  • so far this year Moss had 139 yards for the pats, 174 yards for the vikes and 26yards for the titans for a total of 5 TD's--i would say people are covering him just fine, he sucks this year
