I,m a single mother & overwhelmed with credit card debt and student loans. Someone told me that if my student loans were not government loans they could be included in bankruptcy, is this true and what about pelle grants

I can't swear to it on the private student loans but I can tell you pell grants are not loans so there is no expectation to pay them back anyways.

No, NO student loans, whether they're federal or private, can u be releaved of. It's one debt u'll be stuck w/ for the rest of ur life...I just applied for both and I had to read the terms and take a quiz lol

I think this is the hardest condition for you.
you need to have serious consultation to solve your problem.
There are many company offering free debt counseling (you can use google or yahoo to find it), you can use their service just for hearing their suggestion for free. You can apply for different company so you will have many suggestion as an option.
try to use the free debt counseling with no-obligation form, so you have nothing to loose to hear their suggestions for you.
usually they need your phone number so they can call you, or you can call them directly if you want to..
