Why does Glen Beck say?
That he is a Rodeo Clown? What do you think he means?
I find it interesting that he says this. A rodeo clown is not like a circus clown. In fact, Rodeo clown is a deadly serious job. They keep the bull from hurting the rider, by distracting the bull.
So quantum, I think you are right. Except for the rider is not the government, obviously. It's the Republican party, and their agenda.

If the public is the bull, the rider is the government, and Glen Beck is the rodeo clown then what he's doing is entertaining (distracting) the public (the bull) so they don't overthrow the government (attack the rider).
