    (1) why did you choose an operatic, as opposed to that of any other type of vocal career?

    (2) do you find that most if not all opera singers, tend to gain weight as their career progresses(over time); and if so, why do you think this occurs?

    (3) if you experience stress at the time of a performance, when is it greatest: before, during or afterwards? Can you explain why you think this happens?

    (4) which of the roles that you regularly or have performed even only once, is/was the most difficult for you?

    (5) in your considered opinion, which was/is the greatest singer in all the 6 major facher: soprano, mezzo, contralto - tenor/baritone/(bass-baritone)/basso?

    Very interesting question,

    Alberich

P.S.-taken in totality, you'll probably consider there to be more than 5 questions - sorry.

    1. Were you always interested in opera?

    2. When did you decide that you wanted to sing opera as a career?

    3. Do you have a favorite role or composer to sing?

    4. Is there a role or opera you would like to sing if you could--a "fantasy" role? For example, a bass that would think it fun to sing the lead soprano role in "Turandot".

    5. Who were your favorite and least favorite people to work with and why? (Because I like cheap gossip--a bad weakness I know).

I"m afraid my preconceptions and fantasies would be brought to ruin.

... Though I (probably) wouldn't mind having a handful of opera singers at friends.

My honest questions are 1: How did they train their voice to hit the ranges and 2: how long did it take them to perfect it. I am always up for learning something new and trying it out! :)
