I need some different bands/musicians to listen to, any ideas? (60's, 70's, or 80's)?

I'm a huge Beatles fan, i also love John Lennon's and George Harrison's solo music, but ive been listening to it for awhile now and i wanna add some new stuff to my library, i already tried hendrix, the doors, the who, the stones, the monkees, led zepplin, and floyd but i didnt really like any of them, well pink floyd was ok, i realize the beatles may have been the best ever and im not lookin for anything better than them but something comparable

If you want Beatley-sounding stuff, try these:

    Early Beatles:

    The Hollies

    Dave Clark 5

    The Zombies

    Middle Beatles:

    The Byrds

    The Kinks

    Badfinger

    The Raspberries

    The Yardbirds

    The BeeGees (early stuff)

    Late Beatles:

    Moody Blues

    Klaatu

The Beach Boys (their mid-late 60's stuff)

    Similar to Harrison:

    Splinter

    Eric Clapton (solo)

    Similar to Lennon:

    Oasis

    Bob Dylan

Frankly, if you don't like the bands you mentioned, which are among the most important icons of the 60's (well 'cept the Monkees), I don't think you're gonna like any rock music in general...

I'm not sure what I can add, what did you listen to from some of those groups??

Go back to The Who and listen to Tommy and/or Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy - the who can get complicated in their later years but Tommy is up there with the best of the Beatles,

Go back and Check out Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett, The pipers at the gates of Dawn. Syd songwriting was vastly different than what we call Floyd Today.

Check out David Bowie, Early Albums like Ziggy Stardust, Diamond Dogs, Hunky Dory, The man who sold the world, Space Oddity etc. early 70's late 60's stuff

Neil Young is also pretty good, like After the Gold rush and Harvest are good cd's to start.

If you love the Beatles then check out The Rutles, Eric Idle's parody prefab 4 band i'll Post a link.
