I beleive the Phillies have a great chance at picking up Jermaine Dye and Pedro Feliciano?

WHY DON'T THE PHILLIES SEE THIS GREAT OPPPURTUNITY??????

Jermaine Dye would have to go to spring training and fight for a job...I don't think the Phillies need a 36 yo outfielder, who has been out of the game for a year. Dye fits in the AL and could probably get a contract somewhere.

Don't the Mets have any interest in Feliciano? I don't see any rush on signing a 33 yo middle reliever who has been overworked for 3 straight years.

Who, where, or what is the great opportunity with your statement? Taking flyers on an aging outfielder who hasn't played hardly any relevant baseball in the better part of two years and an overused pitcher who seemingly couldn't hang in the Mets bullpen? Am I missing something here? Why would the Phillies want to venture into either player when there is such a high risk? Especially knowing the Phillies are already solid and a perennial playoff caliber team. Just doesn't seem to fit to me. I'm sure if they had a need in the outfield (Werth) and in the bullpen they would simply look to their farm system or get someone more reliable on the market with more upside.

No, they are close to their payroll skill all waiting with each and all the extensions and arbitration settlements, the only reason they could get him is that if that they had a deal for Jayson Werth interior the works considering they in all risk wont be waiting to hold hi previous 2010. i like Dye as a participant yet he would not help the Phils plenty. What they choose is yet another bullpen arm.
