No because he's a former Champion and also been racing in Cup since the mid 70s so he has the experience. Lately he's just been with smaller teams so the equipment just isn't as good.

It was good to see Bill Elliott qualify so well. If given the right equipment he can still get the job done.

Bill Elliott is the fastest man in NASCAR history.. He holds the all time record for the fastest practice lap for a race (218+ MPH), and the fastest qualifying lap for a race (212+ MPH).. Why would anyone be surprised??

Nice to see him up front,but he probably want have the support to stay up there.Usually only around 12 to 15 drivers have a shot at winning and the rest is mostly field fillers.

I wasn't surprised to see Bill qualify that good but I was surprised that it happened in that car.

I'm not surprised. Bill can still wheel it when he has a good car, and when the Woods give him one, he gets the best out of it.

It's just qualifying.
Lap 2 he'll be out of the top 10, lap 5 he'll be around 20th and might be able to hold it around there.

I like bill, yes i was too. unfortunately, i don't think he will stay up there for long once the race begins....The old guys still can do it. way to go Bill.
