How to get videos from Kodak EasyShare M530 Camera into Windows Movie Maker?

Every time I try it says it's an unsupported file type. When I upload the videos onto my computer, they upload as a .MOV. How can I get them into the right file type for Windows Movie Maker? And what IS the right file type for that?

    Windows movie maker supportable format:

    Video files: .asf, WMV, AVI

    Movie files: MPEG1, .mpeg, .mpg, .m1v, .mp2

Audio files: .wav, .snd, .au, .aif, .aifc, .aiff

Windows Media files: .asf, .wm, .wma, .wmv

Still images: .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .jfif, .gif

mov is not included. So you have to convert kodak mov video files to wmm compatible wmv, avi, mpg, etc with a professional converting program. Just evaluate this software. I hope it meet your needs.

You can download video converters off the internet. A good one i like, is "any video converter". It says that any video converter is capable of .MOV video files, to .MPG, or .AVI

MOVIE MAKER does not support all file types, not hd, mpeg4, mts, mod, mov or h.264 files. If your camera shoots in those formats you will have to convert to use WMM.

Files associated with Windows Movie Maker

Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma

Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf

Vista WMM supports video files asf, avi, dvr-ms, m1v, mp2, mp2v, mpe, mpeg, mpg, mpv2, wm,and wmv
