Do people who feel the airport searches are a violation of the 4th Amendment feel nobody should be search?

or are they hypocrites who are willing to violate the 4th Amendment rights of others?

I think the issue is if there is probable cause to search a person or not. If I fly in my own country does that make me a terror suspect? Well, does it? Because the way that I see it that is exactly what it means.

I think that they should expend more effort in searching the cargo that goes under the plane.

And just what other persons rights are being violated by me not wanting to be subjected to a search?

MAYBE you should READ the 4th again... You know, that one that is in the BILL OF RIGHTS. (While you are reading it again, look up Terry v Ohio.)

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

You do realize that they can take ANY device from you with any memory capability, be it laptop, smart phone or even Palm device and keep it for pretty much as long as they want. And that you do not have the right to be there when the device is examined.

If you think about it, we have lost a lot of our rights since 2001.

Since when was it the governments job to protect private businesses owners ??

When will there be body scanners on amtrack, or greyhound.

If it's all about or safety why doesn't the TSA stake out every coctail bar in the country and go after drunk drivers who kill COUNTLESS more people than domestic terrorists ?

Just becuase some waive their rights, shouldn't mean everyone has to.

It's not about safety, or you , or I , it's about control.

I think airport security is all for show, because if the bad guys get that far our law enforcement, intelligence, and military have all failed. Now the show is getting ugly, and I think the TSA has gone too far.

You vile and disgusting creatures act as if we had no airport security until Obama's TSA started molesting and fondling others recently.

Grow up you piece of filth!

People that think it viotlates the 4th do not understand what it means.

You are chosing to use the airline so you are not being subjected to a search against your will.

I think we should have security measures that actually work and not security measures that bring the most profit to security companies who own conservative politicians.

Again, if you don't like it, don't fly.
