After Shane Mosley beat Antonio Margarito he was considered "to dangerous" and " we can make twice as much fighting Miguel Cotto", now after he looses to Floyd Mayweather and looks old against Sergio Mora he's a candidate for a Manny Pacaquio fight.
Read between the lines here; when Shane Mosley was a risk they wouldn't fight him now he looks his age and all of a sudden they're looking to fight him.

Ive heard many rumors!
I think it will be another way for Pacquiao's team to send a message to Mayweather camp. And would prove to be a good fight, but Mosley is 39 years old and is probably only looking at the Pacquiao fight to make a big paycheck before retiring..
And Pacquiao is far too quick for Mosley.. it would be a 1 sided fight.

I think that is what Arum originally was thinking about making, since he has heard the rumors of people criticizing Manny for not fighting African-Americans. Mosley was also at the Margarito fight pushing for a fight with Manny, because he claims that he is now a free agent, and not signed with Golden Boy anymore. But since Arum announced that he intended on having them fight, the response from fight fans were all negative and against it, which I think has made Arum skeptical about it. Arum recently came out and said if the Mayweather fight can't get made or a Marquez fight can't get made, Andre Berto would be the next leading candidate. He has already asked Berto's promoter Lou DiBella if they are open to it, and even though they didn't have serious talks, they were on the same page and ready to take the fight as long as the money is right for Berto.
As for the Mosely fight, I don't see the point of it. Yes, Mosley is a Black American, but he is the same type of fighter Manny has been fighting all along. The issue isn't that Manny hasn't fought African-Americans (that is overplayed and dumb), the issue is he hasn't fought a slick, elusive fighter who knows how to stick and move or counterpunch, no matter their ethnicity. Mosley may be black, but he is a brawler nonetheless and has the same style that all of Manny's previous opponents had. A win against him won't take away the criticism. Berto also may be fast, but he is a brawler as well and not capable of outboxing Pacquiao in my opinion. He is still too raw, and hasn't fought good enough competition to be ready for someone who is a prime, great fighter right now and almost unstoppable.

I hope it's not true, cuz Mosley is now getting old and is an easy fight for Pacquiao. If Mosley was in his Prime now that would be a fight but he can't do it any more.
I say Pacquiao should fight someone else. Berto, he's not experienced enough but at least he's young.

What ever happened to Roach saying he's "Too Big Too good"? I guess now that he has slowed down and looks he's age it a go. That's sucks because Mosley would go and call out Pacquiao in 2008. He even went to Wild Card and spoke with Pacquiao face to face. He really wanted that fight. Shame on TEAM PACQUIAO!!!!

this would be bad for mosley's reputation if he does end up fighting pacquiao... as in pacquiao would probably win

That was before P-Will got KTFO last night. Now Pacquiao will defend his light middleweight title vs P-Will @150lb catchweight.

Maybe they just want to whoop Shane worse then Floyd did to show everybody it was no big deal.
