Question about "Of Mice and Men" (10 points!!)?

I have to reply to this as an essay so the most informative answer gets 10 points-

Is George justified in killing Lennie? Explain your opinion

    Yes George doesnt just kill lennie because he wants too. Lennie had killed a young women on accident because he got scared and couldnt really control himself. So even though George cared for Lennie and was his best friend, he had to kill Lennie before he hurt anyone else. And he shoots him when Lennie is turned away thinking about his dream of rabbits on a farm so its not really a brutal killing, Lenny didnt even know it was coming. Hope this Helps :)
