Delayed freezing of soups and stews?
I notice that most home made soups and stews taste best after a day or two in the fridge, where flavors marry and improve. So ... should I put soups and stews that I intend to freeze in the fridge first for a day or two before freezing to improve flavor first?

i live on soups, great for fiber and to fill you up when your dieting. And YES, they always taste better the next day! only problem I find when eating leftover or leftover then frozen soup is is seems that when the flavors sync together, sometimes it seems to get saltier, especially when cooking crockpot soups and stews. I always use less salt and a lower sodium bullion and add salt after a day in the fridge. Also found that cooking carrots fully when I intend on making freezer meals turn them to mush when reheating.

Yes, that will do well. I have done that myself especially for homemade chicken noodle soup or split pea soup.
