Why are political views so varied in this country?
It seems odd to me that the political views of people in the same country can be so different. There are people at the polar opposites. Weird! Why is that?

Because the United States is a very diverse nation where people are allowed to express their opinions.

It's not all that varied, 3 different groups. Democrats, wealthy republicans and the rest of americans who don't realize they are getting screwed by the republican party but still vote republican.

Because the Republican party is hell bent in destroying Obama at any cost. They would rather destroy the whole u.s then to agree with one thing Obama said or tried to do.
