Yes, on average. But I have known plenty of guys who gossip for some reason. I guess society is changing.

I heard this young group of guys talking about some girl on my way to my car and I feel for these young ladies who are easy.

It's optional for men to gossip but impossible for women not to.

I have found that women tend to talk more about people and personalities whilst men talk more about objects and events, yes. I don't like gossip if it implies that you are talking about other friends secretly and I have a group of friends who do not do this. We have been known to have a moan about some of the really chavvy mothers who are seen at the school shouting ' Lily f*cking May - move your **** now!' with a cigarette hanging out of their mouths. We have no loyalty to them.

Well yes and no. The thing that always disturbs me is that girls really ***** about the people they are gossiping about.

Guys talk about there friends almost just as much as women do; they just don't 'judge' the person they are talking about, like women do.

I worked at an auto shop for 8 years and I can tell you that those 6 dude mechanics were a worse old hen circle than any 10 women I know.

There are a few exceptions to that, but yeah, mostly. There are evolutionary reasons for this. It's still godd*mn annoying when anyone does it. I guess when you've been gossiped about, you stop giving a crap what people say about other people. Can't we just talk about video games instead?

Haha -- men are just as bad, they just don't do it in the same way! They are more subtle. They say use fewer words. But they can be just as mocking as any women. If there were microphones hidden in locker rooms or in deer hunting stands or men only work areas, U would get an earful.
