Is a lab created gemstone "real" for all intents and purposes?

    Depends on what is meant by "real". Gemstones are valued and they are desirable, because they are rare. Lab created gemstones are not rare, and thus not desirable. If the intent and purpose is to find a cheap substitute, then yes, they are "real".

    yes...same physical, chemical and optical properties...just grown in a lab, not by Mother Earth
