If you're going for music I'd recommend the MacBook. Bear in mind that I HATE Macs and I'm recommending it. Macs are fantastic for music, photography, and movie design without needing any extra software. Yes, you can *get* extra software, but it's not necessary.

MacBook Pros are better for audio(especially recording), photo, and video. The only catch is that they are insanely expensive. HPs are a good choice overall, but the software for audio works better on Macs. The HP Envy and the High Performance laptops would be good for your purposes

MacBook Pro defiantly! Apple has their products all revolving around music, which is just what you want. Mac is easy to use. HP has their products revolving around heavy duty business, which isn't what you want. I have Mac and it's a go for me. :)

On a Mac, shift/administration/3 takes a photograph of the computer screen. in case you press shift/administration/4, you may click and drag over the area you like; the photograph is taken once you launch the mouse button.

macbook pros are amazing and they come with excellent audio editing software (garageband) for free! it also come with a bunch of other cool stuff like imovie!! macbook pros are also less prone to viruses than windows computers. if you have to make powerpoints and type uo stuff for school and your school doesnt have a mac, thats ok because all you have to do is get iwork and make your powerpoints there! anything made on iwork is compatible with windows
