I'd like to make this pie but I need to know what I can do for substitutions?

I only have salted butter and I have no heavy whipping cream

is there anything I can do about substituting for these items?

Use the salted butter and do not add the salt. You can substitute whole milk or table cream for that cream (Take A handful of real cream creamers from the coffee shop and add milk to make the 6 1/2 tbls )

Salted butter is fine. Milk should work.

Salted butter contains less than 3% salt. If the recipe calls for salt cut a little back. I didn't read the recipe in it's entirety.

Heavy cream as called for here is just for the thickness and richness. A good vitamin D milk, maybe a little extra butter should be fine. Condensed milk would be better still.

The only time milk really won't work for a recipe is if the heavy cream is whipped. Cream whips because of the butter content. Milk won't whip.

For the heavy cream, use a tablespoon of flour whisked into a cup of milk. (Just don't try to use that for making whipped cream). As for the salted butter, just omit the salt called for in the recipe. In the future, it really is best to keep a pound or two of unsalted butter in the freezer for when you get the urge to bake. Hope this helps! I think I'll try making it too.
