Can pokemon be over level 30 and still do a wifi battle?
My friend has Pearl and I have Soul Silver. Can we battle with pokemon over level 30 using wifi? If not how can we battle? Also, can Pearl and Soul Silver even trade and battle with each other?

Yes to both. go to the battle coliseum up stairs is the pokemon center to battle with any level pokemon and choose 'no restrictions'. Soul Silver can trade and battle with any of the following games,
Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

In the union room it's only Pokemon up to level 30, but in the battle colosseum (I think thats what it's called it's the door to the far right) and in that room it can be from level 1 to 100. Yes you can link with Pearl and SoulSilver as long as they are DS Games
