National Guard and ROTC smp?

I am thinking about doing the smp. If i signed up now would i be going to school next semester or going to basic?

Update:

I'm 20, been out of high school for 2 years and have 35 credit hours already. Does this change anything? Is there a website with all this info?

    Jeeper is correct.

You don't officially start the SMP until you get 30 credits. Until then you are a normal Guard or Reserve Soldier attending college and taking ROTC courses.

You would enlist through the normal enlistment process, and after completing Basic and AIT you can start college and eventually do SMP once you get the 30 credits. Technically you don't have to attend AIT if you do Split-Op and get 30 credits and contract with ROTC before going to AIT, but I would advise just going to AIT. It's extra training, experience, and money. You will probably have to start college a semester late though.

    Good Luck

EDIT: Ok well you still join the same way. But since you already have more than 30 credits you can contract right when you start ROTC, and start SMP.

You have to go to Basic and AIT, before you can be a SMP ROTC student.
