Are TSA Screenings at the airport technically illegal?

In the fourth amendment,The Founding Fathers understood that a free society requires that the power of government to detain, interrogate and search must be limited. Benjamin Franklin stated that They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety"

So what do you think? Technically illegal? Do you have a problem with giving up your rights when you fly?

A recording that plays at an airport states

" you know you are not a threat, please help us do our job by showing us that you are not a threat"

    this is for real people!

We are guilty until proven innocent .... This whole thing is UNCONSTITUTIONAL

and it is based on an alleged attack by 19 suicidal fanatics....

Where is the PROOF that it happened the way that both Bush & Obama insist that it did?

AMERICA, we have a problem here!

i think of of they're offender once you think approximately which you have the alternative no count if to fly or now no longer. Supposedly in case you devote to fly you grant your consent to searches on the airport. What i think of of is unlawful even with the actuality it extremely is for individuals who presented airline tickets months in enhance to flying below the condition that they are non-refundable are certainly compelled to the two forfeit their funds via ability of refusing the seek, or being compelled to persist with the recent thoughts in place that they did now no longer furnish you with a warning approximately being there as quickly as you initially presented the tickets.

I think they are legal because you have the option whether to fly or not. Supposedly if you opt to fly you give your consent to searches at the airport. What I think is illegal though is for those who purchased airline tickets months in advance to flying under the condition that they are non-refundable are now forced to either forfeit their money by refusing the search, or being forced to follow the new procedures in place that they didn't warn you about being there when you initially purchased the tickets.

our founding fathers didn't see the era where our twin towers were collapsed by the terrorists. if someone gets killed in your neighborhood, would you rather have the police do little to nothing, or have more cops assigned in your area... same thing works for the u.s. airports. if al-qaida can jack our airplanes and plant bombs in it then it really doesn't bother me to give some of my rights so that every one gets protected. seriously, i would rather show my private parts to an xray machine than have a terrorist blow up a plane

The screenings, xray, search, scan etc. are all voluntary. If you don't want to go through TSA screenings - don't go to the airport.

PS Not saying that I like the screening either.

I had no problem with it under Bush and I have no problem with it under Obama.

If you have a problem with it, then deal with it. It's not like the government is going through your private photo albums.
