Is it too late for me to be a programmer?

Hi, I'm 18 years old and currently a 2nd year Business administration college student majoring in human resource development management.

To my horror, my professor told me that our job after graduating would be a personnel assistant or a clerk. Not that it's not honorable, it's just that I don't want to end up like that and besides, I'm planning to start a software company that might just change the way traditional education system works.

Now, Is it too late for me if I returned to school to study programming? Because I'm afraid that I might be doing the wrong decision and MBA seems pretty to me.

Thanks for the time and effort :)

Yes, far too late to be a programmer and a really bad career choice.

    - Many programmers, have an interest from childhood and spend years practicing the craft. By the time they take qualifications its a walk in the park.

    - Many don't bother with qualifications as your profile of your work is more important.

    - A lot of programming gets outsourced. Why pay more just for someone in the west to do it, when someone in a poorer country can do it a lot cheaper.

    - There are quite a number of child prodigies, especially in Asia, that are remarkable programmers.

You really would be wasting your time and money.
