C:\Windows\System32\MMDevAPI.dll Virus Help!?

Ok so I just updated to the new 2011 AVG free and it found a virus, and at the end of the scan it said Object is white-listed (critical/system file that should not be removed.) how do I get rid of the virus without killing my computer?

Type the virus/file name into your search engine. If it is a problem, you won't be the first to complain. Usually, there are forums that will have people that give good advice on how to fix the problem. Just be careful. Some morons will post websites that offer solutions, but actually have more problems. I've had to do this same thing a couple times.

MMDevAPI.dll in the System32 folder is not a virus. There are better programs than AVG.
