    No, but nevertheless they seem stupid enough to do it.

    If they are frightened by a thunderstorm they can panic and pile on top of each other, crushing the ones underneath.

    Ah, but a tom turkey displaying his tail feathers is a beautiful sight.

    Of course this only applies to domesticated turkeys, Wild turkeys are pretty smart.
