Need professional advice on a Graphics Card?

I've been looking into buying a graphics card for my system lately and I'm really having a hard time trying to figure out if the cards I want are even capable of running to their full potential in my system. The more I read, the more I have to look for more info.. But, to the point.

I have a Gateway DX4200-9. It's a AMD Phenom 9150e Quad-Core 1.8Ghz, with 4GB of RAM, a Radeon HD 3200 onboard (windows index: graphics is a 3.7, gaming graphics is a 5.1). I have recently installed a new PSU which is a XFX 650w Black Edition. Also I have atleast a 9.5inch gap to fit a card in, maybe 10inchs if I can move something around but anything over 9.5 will be to much.

I'm looking for a card that doesn't over heat mainly and also that doesn't bottleneck. Cards like the GeForce GTS450, GTS 250, Radeon HD 4870 or maybe a Radeon HD 5770. I'm not sure what to get.

Games I play now is just WoW, but I'm using my onboard card to play that on ultra settings 20-40FPS. I have a 17" monitor, looking to upgrade soon to a wide screen, possibly a 20". Games I would like to buy is mainly Crysis, Fallout, Rainbow 6 Vegas, and a few other newer shooter games.

I hope that's enough info to help out. Thanks for your advice/s~! :)

    Budget?

At present, the best bang for the buck graphics card out there is the GTX460. It's more than enough to max out Crysis on a 20" monitor. The ASUS model in particular runs quite cool.

Also, I would OC the processor a bit because 1.8GHz is quite slow.

Dude, you elect greater effective than a photographs card strengthen, rather.... the full rig is previous, very extraordinarily much old. in fact the undeniable fact which you're in elementary words utilising residing house abode windows 7 residing house elementary 32-bit as your OS extraordinarily plenty tells the full tale. That AMD Athlon sixty 4 X2 twin midsection Processor 4200+ is a minimum of 8 years previous, very low end via employing now. you in elementary words have previous type, onboard photographs, nVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430, utilising a reserved 512MB of your 4GB RAM for photographs rendering, very low end, to declare the least. in fact upgrading to a properly-prevalent photographs card will reason a bottleneck on the processor end. thoroughly now no longer relatively relatively relatively worth the fee and the issue to do any advancements on that previous dinosaur. Time to construct a greater robust moderen, greater desirable perfect gaming rig.
