Why is this book so hard to find?
The Mistmantle Chronicles #5; Urchin And The Rage Tide
I can find the first four no problem; I even ordered the fourth several days after it came out with little trouble. But I can't find this one, and it's been out since maybe the 20th of August. None of the major booksellers has it, and Amazon's sellers want $100 for it.
Perhaps I'm being dense and it really hasn't come out in the U.S yet. But if it has, what's with the hiding of it?
Thanks, but when I actually try to buy it, I get "We're sorry this item is currently unavailable."
I'm beginning to think that this is a part of someone's evil plot.
That's a point. Fans are far and few between.

Rather than an evil plot, it's a publisher issue. The first books of the series were published by Oxford University Press. This one is by Hyperion Book CH.
My best guess is that lower-than-anticipated sales caused her former publisher to reject the next book of the series, and the new publisher, knowing the sales numbers, did not print anywhere near enough copies to meet demand.
