When askers choose the 'best answer' aren't they really just choosing what they want to hear?

or at least give me a percentage of how often you think this happens.

    It depends on what section you're talking about. If it's in "Politics", probably 95% of BA's are what the poster already thinks, and he or she is just looking for someone to agree with them.

    With other groups, it's much lower--you can usually tell when the poster already has his or her mind made up before asking the question. I usually skip those, because I figure that the poster is just looking for someone to tell them how smart they are.

    I usually wipe the answers out , without giving a score, remember its only the internet.lol. and yahoo is not very good yet.

    yup especially those questions where a silly 15 yr old puts a photo up asking how pretty they are, they always choose the answers wich is like "omg y'all so bootiful"
