Need help with plastic over my windows?

I have tried the heating up shrink wrap and the double sided sticky tape won't hold on my wall. So I bought a thick layer of plastic and tried to hold it up with tacks and just duct tape around it. The duct tape also comes peeling of my walls. Is there some kind of tape/glue that can hold this plastic up and not peel off my walls?

You have either dirt, oil or moisture that is preventing the tape from sticking.

When you cover your windows with shrink wrap put the double sticky tape on the sides/top/bottom of the frame of the window instead of on the wall.

First clean it with rubbing alcohol on a rag, then apply the tape, press the plastic along the top and pull it taut and press along the sides, then the bottom.

Duct tape doesn't stick well to painted walls and will pull off the paint and leave a sticky residue.

If you walls aren't dirty, they're painted with flat paint, and no tape will stick.

    Clean your walls.
