    They struggled to find jobs, because there were so many other migrants looking for jobs, and not enough jobs for everyone.

    Because there were so many people trying to get the same job, the farms could pay the workers less money, because they knew that the workers/migrants wouldn't be abe to find any other jobs, so they would have to take any pay the farm decided to give.

    That is another problem the migrants struggled with, having enough money, since there weren't any good paying jobs.
