scientists make predictions every year. Last year was supposed to be the coldest year

in 1999 or 98 despite el nino it was a coldest year

they said the year before it would be a record breaking hurricane storm season.

people of all faiths make predictions that dont or never happen.

global warming is a hoax. tell the governments to stop chem trailing, and i BET the temperature goes down.

The theory is called 'global warming' and what the globe has done so far this year shows that, this is the NOAA year to date data for the globe, it shows one of the warmest years on record.

    http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/?report=global&year=...

What they state for the year to date, Jan to Oct is:

"For January–October 2010, the global combined land and ocean surface temperature was 0.63°C (1.13°F) above the 20th century average of 14.1°C (57.4°F) and tied with 1998 as the warmest January–October period on record." (not much freezing in that)

What is happening in Europe is called Winter it will be followed by Spring and Summer.

I'm not a scientist but I believe we are in for some unusually cold weather. Our atmosphere is affected by volcanoes and we have had several big eruptions in the past few months. It clouds the sun and then, like magic, we have colder weather.

No. The thousands of so-called 'scientists' are plopping their butts into pollution-spewing jet planes and living in luxury suites and gorging on steak and seafood while they spend a bit of time discussing how WE..... NOT THEY.... should be more responsible in our use of energy. (Also, they don't have to pay for their luxury vacations..... uh.... I mean.... convention trips..... they are lapping up this perk at the expense of .....in many cases.... the taxpayer.

It's kind of hard to respect folks who are supposedly kind of bright, when they don't bother to use video-conferencing to avoid the pollution-spewing air travel and energy-guzzling hotel suites and meeting halls.

You're a bit backwards. 2010 is on pace to tie 2005 as the hottest year on record.

The international climate conference in Mexico is to address the dangers of global warming and climate change.
