Why did Mourinho order Ramos to get sent off tonight?

If they received a second yellow card during the next stage, they would have been sent off the field.

The manager wanted them to be sent off immediately, so that their first yellow cards would be canceled.

They now go into the next game with no yellow cards against their names.

Is this cheating? Some would say yes, others no. The manager did not break the rules. He just used then in an unsporting way - a way in which they are not intended to be used.
