Yes data costs extra. If you are in the US, your data plan only covers the US. You could pay up to $1 per KB.

The only ISP and phone service on board is SeaTel. Cell phones do work on board, but with major roaming charges. The most logical way to stay in touch with home while on a cruise is to make prior arrangements with your cell provider before your trip as to where you're going to be and when. Many people use an Internet cafe' while in port or purchase a prepaid calling card and use a public phone.

while you're on board a cruise deliver, the only thank you to connect with information superhighway is to flow interior the direction of the deliver's provider, that's very very nearly continually costly and could't be bypassed. The deliver's costs are to boot to something you're paying on your inner maximum provider offered. Tinkertoy has, as common, offered an exceedingly good and good reaction. To that i could upload the encouragement which you do as much as you are able to previous to the cruise, placed up a word which you would be off line and unavailable till a undeniable date you call. do not mess with the workstation in any respect while you're on your cruise, and flow have a real trip. having mentioned that, could your college pay for the relationship costs? I truly doubt it, yet you are able to desire to ask.

whats a boat have to do with it. roaming is roaming. and internet can be very $$$$ outside the US. Like if you have a Iphone and you use it allot your bill will be like 10,000.00 it will be in the thousands if you dont even use it because of the background data and apps. You could just leave it at home. but if not call your phone company and have them turn off the data like a month before you leave or somthing. But even then I know people that had it dissabled but they said that only applied to the us towers??? umm if you want more information just google AT&T bill fraud or somthing.
