HDMI and Component are completely different ways of sending information, so there is no magic adapter cable that can solve this problem - you will need a converter box. It will cost you about $50 dollars to buy one. For instructions and where to buy one go to:

You can only hook a Wii up to a screen that has Component or AVI.

Some monitors today come with inputs for Component and AVI.

Look on the back of your Monitor and see if you have either 3 colored component inputs (green, blue, red) or 3 colored AVI inputs (Red, Yellow, White)

  • You could use a monitor it could look better but one problem you`ll run into is sound since a moitor has no built in speakers so you`ll need some extra speakers

Heres the cable you`ll need to plug it into your monitor
