Are there free Word downloads anywhere?

I just got a Dell latitidue D510. It does not come with word on it. Are there any free word download available for my laptop?

    Also try Office Web Apps if you can get by with a lighter weight Office suite. With a free Windows Live account, you’ll have access to web-based versions of MS Word, Excel, PP and OneNote (2010).

    No, but there are plenty of other options. Open Office, Libre Office, Google Docs and AbiWord are all free and compatible.

    Go for OpenOffice, http://www.openoffice.org/ . It's free, and is largely compatible with (Microsoft) Word.

    No, but you could use - Google Docs online - which IS free and compatible.
