TOKIO HOTEL FAMILY: What Is "Hurricanes and Suns" About Exactly?

Tokio Hotel has stumped me. I always get what they're talking about in their songs, but I really don't understand "Hurricanes and Sun" ... Anyone, care to explain? Haha ;P

Hurricanes kind of mean tragedy or chaos.

Halos kind of mean the the bright side, happiness, etc.

Although I'm not sure what it EXACTLY means, I think I have a pretty good idea.

Tokio Hotel is really talented in their lyrics and what their lyrics mean their lyrics will most definitely have more than one meaning. Tokio Hotel once said in an interview that the way their fans interpret their lyrics is totally up to them. They make lyrics that will lift their fan's spirits. An example would be Don't Jump, the anti-suicide song and By Your Side which just means no matter how alone you feel, you're not alone and there really is someone there, you just have to turn around. No matter what song, fans interpret them differently. Hurricanes and Suns might have to do with love and how true love will always last and stand through no matter what "come pain, come hurt" "till the wont shine till the end of time". I personally don't think this one has an EXACT meaning. In an interview they might say what it means but you never know. In their Hurricanes and Suns official video, the video goes backwards from Tokio Hotel now, to Tokio Hotel when Bill and Tom were just 15. Like I said, everyone interprets the lyrics differently. Tokio Hotel might personally have interpreted their song as to how much they love each other and they are all brothers no matter what. Like I said before, I'm not sure exactly since it is such a new song, but it's just an idea. Hope I helped :) By the way. Here's the link to their new video. Enjoy!! My heavens, I never have been flashed, but I did unintentionally flash a few folks once. I was in the hospital some time back and decided to take a stoll to the vending area. Well, I wasn't thinking about what I was wearing and, let's just say that those hospital gowns don't leave a lot to the imagination on the backside. The nurse came up from behind me and put a blanket over my shoulders . . . I was wondering why it was a little drafty back there!

  • It's similar to Monsoon. It's a about 2 people with similar experiances in love going through bad times (that's the hurricane) and they see a bright future (the sun) and when they mention halos that means hope.

    [Verse 1:]

Love is a game for everyone

But this is you and me

We had a thousand lies than wanted

    We have hurricanes and suns

Hey, don't you know we just begun?

    [Chorus:]

    Come pain, come hurt

    See the halo

    Hey, hey, halo!

    Come pain, come hurt

    See the halo

    Hey, hey, halo

    Hey, hey, hey!

    Hey, hey, hey!

    [Verse 2:]

The first in the world that understand

And at last they feel relief

    It's a melancholic time

    But together we'll be fine

Hey, let's go with a smile into the, into the end

    [Chorus 2x]

    Don't close your eyes

    'Til the end of time

    Remove the wall

    Hello, Halo!

    HALO!

    Alive and dead

    Alive and dead

    Alive and dead

    See the halo

    Alive and dead

    Alive and dead

    Alive and dead

    See the halo

    Halo... Halo...

    Come pain, Come hurt

    See the halo

    Halo...

COME! And follow the halo (Come!)

COME! And follow the halo (Come!)

See the sun won't shine till the end of time

    See the halo, halo, halo!

See the sun won't shine till the end of time

    See the halo, halo, halo!

It comes off to me as a song about love and soul mates you know?

Being there from the beginning of time - to the end of time.

being there through even the hardest of conditions.
