Well it all depends on your willingness to take a chance. Gerhart would be a nice risk seeing as AP is still unknown for sunday and that the Vikings play the Bills who are last in the league in rushing yds a game and have given up 11 tds, but its still a risk. Chris Ivory would be a definite if he plays, but I would check his status before the game as well as the other RBs for New Orleans. The Bengals are in the bottom 10 of the league in rushing and have given up almost 11 TDs. I would stay away from LT even though he has came on as of late you have to remember he played for many years in a warm December, not cold. Plus the Patriots are very good against the run and even harder at home when snow is in the forecast. Shonn Greene also gets in the way. I would stay away from Benson...I live in Cincy and even I have lost the faith.
Hope this helps. If you are still undecided I would look at picking up Brian Westbrook if he is available. The 49ers play the Packers this week but as Frank Gore is out for the year he will start seeing a lot more work. His legs are fresh and he has something to prove. Plus he is a fantasy legend on a team gaining confidence (& wins) that still has a shot to make the playoffs, be it in the pathetic NFC Easy.
Hope I helped. For further help you should check out the NFLs team stats page...usually any running back facing any of these teams will get some type of good game for you.

this is my thinking: All 3 of those backs have the misfortune of dealing with very stable run defenses. SF is the lesser of the three Ds, and Forsett isn't splitting time with everyone, not hampered by utilising any injuries, and he's at homestead. there's a initiate. Smith or Charles...ok he has greater objectives consistent with interest suited now as a receiver than Charles. Charles did not fare too properly against SD in spite of being the only lower back. Denver's run D = greater desirable than SD. additionally, ok Smith has shown a huge-play ability over the direction of two seasons' artwork, on a similar time as Charles has had a million vast play vs. a Polamalu-much less Pit D. answer: Forsett (no-brainer) and Smith (gentle area over Charles). ignore Wells.
