For Harry Potter, and for you age and based on what you have read, the Alexandra Quick Series would be something that you would absolutly adore. three books in it so far. I like it better then some of the stuff written by professional writers, I strongly recomend it for your age group and your interests.
Thats all i can think of right now....
Source(s): http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3964606/1/Alexandra_Qu... The above link is the first book in the alexanra quick series, chapter one. It is epicly, amaizing :D The first two or three chapters are not amazing, but after that you cannot stop reading. trust me. give it a chance! 29 chapters and like 200,000+ words in it... :) epicness! Hope all of this helped! - 1 decade ago
Rick Riordan has a new book out, called the Lost Hero. It's about the Greek mythology thing, it looked really interesting....
Basically any other Eoin Colfer book is good, especially The Supernaturalist and The Wish List.
The Septimus Heap series (Magyk, Flyte, Physik, etc) is like the Harry Potter books, and they're pretty interesting.
The Bartimaeus trilogy (The Amulet of Samarkand, The Golem's Eye, Ptolemy's Gate)
The Uglies series (Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras)

If you liked Artemis Fowl, have you tried any of Eoin Colfer's other books? The Supernaturalist and The Wish List are both good.
Also, the Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini (Eragon, Eldest, etc) are really good. They're long, which is intimidating, but they're awesome.
Philip Pullman also writes some great books, particularly the His Dark Materials series and the Sally Lockhart series.
These are all fantasy-ish, but they're definitely in the age-range that you're looking for. Enjoy!

Dangerous Days: The Autobiography of a Photojournalist, and its sequel, Blades: The Autobiography of a Rescue-Helicopter Pilot, both by J. William Turner. Very realistic fiction about teens in several dramatic life and death situations set in Australia, Canada, England and California during the years 1981-1982 and 1995-2001. Each novel is written as a series of four related shorter books (about 100 pages per book) inside a single cover dealing with teenage, adult and social themes. More info in Google

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy (Douglas Adams) It's not really a trilogy. There's five books or something.
The Discworld series (Terry Pratchett) There are a lot of books in this series. You do not have to start from the first one. Personally, I recommend starting with Reaper Man.
A Series of Unfortunate Events (Lemony Snicket)
Calculating God (Robert J Sawyer. Not nonfiction, I swear.)
Angels and Demons (Dan Brown)
Secrets of the Jedi (Jude Watson... at least I think so). This is a Star Wars book. Be warned.
The first two are satiric, which means that they're really funny but can get really confusing, yet still is really good. :)

in line with probability get her a classic, thats while i began out entering into them. Dont get particularly heavy ones like conflict and Peace, yet attempt those classics I enjoyed while i became 13: To Kill A Mocking poultry Jane Eyre Anne Frank Wuthering Heights Or attempt a Shakespeare, yet positioned into modern-day language, she will love somewhat romance so how approximately Romeo and Juliet? If no longer, i definitely enjoyed those: Hush Hush via Becca Fitzpatrick The statement via Gemma Malley The Host via Stephanie Meyer ( I enjoyed this better than Twilight) Checkmate and different books interior the sequence via Mallorie Blackman

Shiver and Linger by Maggie Stiefvater. Its a romance type book, but not exactly. Its hard to explain, its got werewolfs in it but I LOVEEDDD it, and im not usually into the whole werewolf, vampire thing. Just take my word on it. READ THEM! :D The first one is Shiver, and its blue and its got blue font on the inside, and the second is Linger, and its got green font on the inside. She's also coming out with a 3rd and final one in July i think it is? and there will also be a movie! excited, and im so glad my friend introduced me to the book. :D hope this helps!! :D
