I need a quick ruling for yugioh?
ok so say im using a black ptera for a tribute and i have spring of rebirth active, woul i gain the 500 LP? because i believe i would due to the ruling on ocean and how the field in his case is considered to include the graveyard. i have two certified friends and they both say different things one agrees that the graveyard is part of the field as a collective, the other says its completely separate. granted the one who says its separate uses this "ruling" to his advantage by the fact that anything that leaves the field is reset. but either way i need an official yugioh tcg ruling as per tournament standards, is the graveyard part of the field, or not?

The graveyard is not part of the field.
For reference, refer to Page 45 of the rulebook.
"When “cards on the field” is written in card text, it means all the cards on the Game Mat other than the Graveyard, Deck, and Extra Deck."

"Increase your Life Points by 500 points every time monsters return from the 'field' to the owner's hand."
Grave =/= Field
This is really the basic stuff of Yu-Gi-Oh
Oh, and for Elemental Hero Ocean, remember that Ocean can also return a monster from field to hand, not just grave

Field =/= Graveyard
Simple as that, nowhere in any rulebook does it say otherwise
