Ash blonde made hair go green?

OK, I had dyed my hair a while ago and put streaks in it, and a while ago put a light ash blonde in. A few months later the roots looked terrible so I went to put a ash blonde in again and it has gone green. Tried to fix it with a natural blonde, but still no luck, even the home remedy of tomatoe sauce.

If I dye it brown will this fix the problem....thanks

Yes, you could easily go darker. Choose a warm shade to counteract the greenish hue.

Ash colors can have bleu or green pigment in them. Green on yellow(blonde) = green Bleu and yellow also turns green. So it is very important to never reapply ash shades to hair that is already lightened.

Are you doing this color at home?

correction will require a pro, but you can go darker yourself. Best to purchase 2 applications. Choose your brown shade and pick the exact color Do Not Recommend Ash Tones!.

Now you should choose a color whose shade level is in the middle between the ash blonde (10? 9?) and the brown (5? 6? 7?) ie: if the blonde was 10 and brown is a 6, you will also purchase a level 8 (or 9 if the green is only slight, ok?) This color should be a coppery gold tone. Sound complicated? I hope not. Orange is the only remedy for Green, they are on opposite sides of the color wheel.

    Home with your two colors....

To clean, dry hair apply the copper gold to all greenish portions for 20 minutes... towel dry the product from the hair. The pigments will have penetrated the hair already. To this towel dried hair, apply the brown shade.

Process for the full 25-30 mins beginning from the time you have completed covering all hair.

Shampoo and rinse THOROUGHLY, condition and style. ENJOY!

Try to find a red tinted shampoo or conditioner. Anything red that will balance out and neutralize the green in your hair will do.
