With the passing of Ron Santo, who do you want to replace him in the booth?

Dave Otto, Dan Plesac, Mark Grace, or someone else?

I guess Gracie, but dammit, Santo is irreplacable...just like Harry Caray...maybe even more so b/c Santo was a true Cub!

It's gonna be Dave Otto IMO. He's been good a filling in for Ron the past few years. I would love to see Mark Grace but putting Dave Otto in there would make the best announcing duo IMO.

I'll second Mikey's comment to some extent. I think Randy Hundley would be a great fit. He's done some filling in for Ronnie on occasion and is pretty good.

The other name I would throw into the mix is Keith Moreland. He also has filled in, both on TV and radio, and has a pretty sharp baseball mind.

But I would bet Grace would be number one on the Cubs' list of possibilities.

I have to go with Ham on Rye...Ronnie cannot be replaced. But if they had to put someone in there, I would beg for Billy Williams, Ernie Banks, Don Kessinger, Glen Beckert or Randy Hundley.

I propose they DON'T replace him. I propose that they just have Pat Hughes press a button every time the opposition hits a home run so you hear a recording of Ronnie going "JEEZ! Oh' Man, *UGH* *SIGH*"

The Cubs' best announcer was Jack Brickhouse.
